Although property purchases are not valid investments for Personal Pension Plans (PPPs), a mortgage for pension investments can be secured through a Self-Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). With stock market investments often highly volatile, property secured through mortgage for pension funds can be a relatively stable investment and qualify for certain tax breaks. In addition, a mortgage for pension investments can also be used, in the case of SIPPs, to purchase a property for the beneficiary (customer) of the SIPP fund. A commercial property purchased for the beneficiary allows rental payments to be deducted from income, despite proceeds going towards the SIPP fund.
